The Challenge

Our Diagnosis
Our technicians lifted the vehicle on our two-post hoist for a full undercarriage inspection. On close examination, we found:
- Front brake pads worn well below the safe minimum thickness
- Early signs of brake dust buildup affecting the caliper’s red AMG brake calipers
- Rotors still within usable spec, but close to the point requiring resurfacing
This confirmed that a brake pad replacement was needed immediately to restore safe stopping performance.
The Work We Performed
- Vehicle lift & inspection — G-Wagon raised safely on our two-post lift for full access to the front axle and brake assembly.
- Wheel & caliper removal — Front wheels removed, calipers carefully detached to access the pad carrier.
- Old pad removal — Worn-out front pads removed and inspected for wear pattern.
- New pad installation — High-performance EBC brake pads installed, matched to the G63’s AMG braking system for consistent stopping power and reduced brake dust.
- Caliper & rotor check — Calipers cleaned, lubricated, and reassembled; rotor surface inspected to confirm smooth, even contact with the new pads.
- Road test — Vehicle test-driven to confirm smooth, quiet, and responsive braking before handover.
